K9 Resorts, a daycare and boarding facility for dogs with locations in several New Jersey cities, formally opened their new facility on South Avenue in Fanwood Saturday, June 20, 2015, with a ribbon cutting, a shower of confetti and tours of the building.
The new facility is located in an existing building, that has been completely redone, next door to their headquarters at 57 South Avenue in Fanwood.
The original facility has seen tremendous growth in business in the 10 years the company has been in Fanwood and the need was clear to owners Steven and Jason Parker for a larger facility. When the building next to their the original facility became available, they saw that as the perfect chance to grow.
The new facility features more cage-free boarding options, a larger playroom for the dogs, daycare facilities for smaller breeds (not currently available because of space limitations) and a 5,000 artificial turf outdoor play area.
K9 Resorts opened its first facility in Fanwood in 2005 and now has company-owned and franchise locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
