FANWOOD – Fanwood celebrated grand openings of two new downtown businesses on Sunday, September 15, 2019, during the annual Fanny Wood Day street fair.

Already opened for business is Scotch Plains-Fanwood Dental Care, 44 South Martine Avenue, a state-of-the-art dental clinic that offers traditional dental care in a non-traditional environment including relaxing music and subtle lighting in a user-friendly setting. Scotch Plains-Fanwood Dental Care is owned by three close friends who hand-picked their staff and are committed to providing excellent care. So far, the response has been stellar.

Soon to open for business is the Fanwood Larder, a specialty grocery store located next door to the dental clinic, also listed at 44 South Martine Avenue (both businesses were subdivided from a former business that took up both sites). The grand opening was symbolic since the store has a way to go before being ready for prime time, but owner Eva Pfaff and her staff were on hand to pass out shopping bags and cut a red ribbon.

On hand for both ribbon cuttings were Mayor Colleen Mahr, Council members Jeff Banks, Tom Kranz, and Trisha Walsh, Fanwood Development Director, Liz Jeffery, and Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce CEO, Gene Jannotti.
