Today is Wear Red Day! On this day, we wear red to raise awareness for women’s heart health. Heart disease is the number-one leading cause of death among women in the United States. Let’s do something about it.

The American Heart Association created Wear Red Day and Go Red for Women to promote women’s heart health literacy. This initiative aims to equip women with useful knowledge to promote greater cardiovascular health and a greater quality of life.

Today, the Borough of Fanwood will be joining other municipalities in New Jersey to turn the state red. There will be a red light shined on Borough Hall tonight, and you will not want to miss the Women’s Heart Health Fair tomorrow!
