Earlier today the state reported another 3,219 positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total to 64,584. The current total in Union County is 6,636. Below you will find an up-to-the-minute tracker of test results statewide.

I’d like to remind residents that the Fanwood Memorial Library continues to provide digital library resources services during their physical closure. Services include e-books and audiobooks, entertainment media, online newspapers and magazines, and homework help. Visit the link below for services.

Today we would like to recognize Fabio’s Bistro and their customers who have donated 45 pizzas to families throughout town for lunch today. Thank you to everyone who helped bring some good food to children all over Fanwood!

 

 


New Executive Orders Announced

Today, Governor Murphy signed into action the following for New Jersey residents and businesses:

  • Prohibiting Internet and phone services from being shut off until 30 days after our current public health emergency has ended;
  • Prohibiting all service downgrades, service reductions, or late fees due to non-payment unless they are imposed in accordance with a policy approved by the Board of Public Utilities; and
  • Requiring reconnection of any Internet or phone service that was disconnected due to non-payment after March 16.

Face Masks are Not a Substitute

We would like to remind ALL Fanwood residents that wearing a face mask in public is not a substitute for existing stay-at-home orders or social distancing protocol.

  • Please leave surgical and N95 masks for our medical professionals and first responders, who need them
  • Avoid touching the front of the mask
  • Wash your hands before putting on the mask & again after removal
  • Store the mask in a paper bag
  • Cloth masks are not recommended for children under two

Per Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 125 requiring all personnel and customers on New Jersey Transit vehicles to wear face coverings, among other requirements, strengthening NJ TRANSIT’s efforts to protect the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, please be advised that:

NJ TRANSIT REQUIRES ALL RIDERS TO WEAR A FACE COVERING.

NJ TRANSIT WORKERS AUTHORIZED TO LIMIT PASSENGER OCCUPANCY TO 50% OF THE VEHICLE’S MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON ALL TRAINS, BUSES, AND LIGHT RAIL LINES.

CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE USING NJ TRANSIT SERVICES FOR ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY.
