An inspiring singer-songwriter and a locally based rock-pop duo will share the bill as the Fanwood Performance Series presents its final concert of the year on Saturday evening, Nov. 15.

Meghan Cary is an award-winning performing songwriter known for her smoky voice, masterful storytelling, and songs that inspire connection, community and hope. Her anthem “Sing Louder” has become a rallying cry for unity, earning critical acclaim and comparisons to Brandi Carlile and Bruce Springsteen. A favorite at festivals like the Philadelphia Folk Festival and Falcon Ridge, Cary has shared the stage with Christine Lavin and Sloan Wainwright, and has toured in support of Joan Osborne, Lucinda Williams and Little Feat, among others. An actor and playwright as well, she brings humor, heart, and courage to everything she does.

Glenn & Oria is the duo of guitarist Glenn Alexander and singer-songwriter Oria Aspen. Separately, they are both accomplished musicians. Glenn has toured the world with some of music’s biggest names – in recent years, as guitarist with Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. He has ten albums to his credit and has played on many other artists’ albums. Oria is a singer-songwriter who released her first album at age 17 to rave reviews and has released many singles since then. As a duo, their music draws from jazz, soul, blues, rock and pop, with Glenn’s virtuoso guitar skills and soulful vocals combining with Oria’s passionate, soaring vocals, flute and percussion.

The show starts at 7 p.m. in the cozy listening room of Fanwood’s Kuran Cultural Arts Center (a.k.a. the Carriage House), at 135 Watson Road, just west of Martine Avenue on the grounds of Borough Hall. The suggested donation for admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors – cash at the door. Reservations are strongly recommended to ensure seating. RSVP by emailing fanwoodperformance@gmail.com with name, show date and number of seats requested.

The Fanwood Performance Series is a presentation of Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Fanwood Borough Cultural Arts Council. It is made possible in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.

The series will return with its Spring 2026 season starting in April. Music fans can find more information and updates at the series website (https://fanwoodperformanceseries.org) and on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FanwoodPerformanceSeries).
