The Department of Public Works has received numerous inquiries regarding the fall leaf pickup program. As of the week of November 4th, all quadrants have received one (1) leaf pick up and the Department is now working to complete the second pick up of the season. The lack of moisture in the leaves due to ongoing drought conditions has caused piles to contain more volume than normal. Ultimately this slows down leaf pick up operations since public works vehicles must make more trips than usual to dispose of the material at the Recycling Center. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.
