Downtown Fanwood was bustling with activity yesterday, June 2, as over 300 women arrived for an evening of shopping at the 5th Annual Ladies Night Out. The event took take place from 6-9 p.m. in Downtown Fanwood.
“This event is meant to showcase Fanwood businesses,” said Mindy Scarlett, chair of the Ladies Night Out Committee.
This event was sponsored by the Fanwood division of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce. Earlier this year, the Fanwood Business and Professional Association (FBPA), which had put on the shopping event in the past, joined the chamber to bring more services and support to Fanwood businesses.
Arriving shoppers received goody bags before heading out to explore Fanwood’s shops. The evening included shopping, mingling, and a Tricky Tray at the end of the evening. The downtown was filled with orange balloons and shopping bags, in support of Fanwood’s Wear Orange event, happening simultaneously across town.
