(Fanwood, NJ) — The Borough is pleased to announce the start of the La Grande Park tennis courts reconstruction project, which is funded through a grant secured by Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Borough Council with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. The Borough’s contractor anticipates beginning the project (weather permitting) on or about Monday, August 25th.

The La Grande Park tennis courts reconstruction project will begin this Monday, August 25th (weather permitting.) The courts will be closed until the beginning of October.

The tennis courts nets will be replaced as part of the project.

The work will consist of tennis court and walkway resurfacing, installation of new nets, dual garbage/recycling receptacles and benches as well as fencing restoration. It is anticipated that the project will take approximately 40 days to complete. The courts will be closed until the beginning of October.

The Borough would like to thank state Senate President Nicholas Scutari for securing funding for this project through a state appropriation grant.
