Snowstorm Alert
A significant winter storm is likely throughout the region this weekend. The latest weather forecasts have snow beginning Saturday night and continuing through Sunday evening, possibly into Monday morning. There is a potential of up to 12 inches of total accumulation for our area. Please plan accordingly for a snowy weekend and potential impacts for commuters on Monday morning. A few notes for Fanwood residents: 1. Vehicles should be parked off the street and into driveways to allow Public Works to plow roadways and parking lots. 2. Residents must shovel and clear snow/ice from their sidewalks after the snowfall has ended. Vehicles must be cleared of snow as well before being driven. 3. Power outages should be reported directly to PSEG by texting "OUT" to "4PSEG" (47734), by calling 1-800-436-PSEG, or through the PSEG app. 4. If you need to use our Carriage House (directly next to Borough Hall) as a warming center or to charge devices in the event of a power outage, contact the Fanwood Police Department’non-emergency number 908-322-5000.
