The State of New Jersey notified all municipalities of the delay in the adoption of the State Budget and has recommended that estimated 3rd quarter tax bills be prepared and mailed.
In order to comply with that recommendation, the Borough calculated an estimated tax rate for 2020 and prepared 3rd quarter tax bills based on that estimate.
Within the next two weeks, you will be receiving a tax bill for the 3rd quarter of 2020. To view the third quarter estimated amount click on the sidebar on this website for tax/utility payment and lookup. You will be directed to a site where you can enter your name, address or block and lot. Your 3rd quarter taxes are showing there. Do not multiply this amount by four in an attempt to determine your 2020 total taxes. This amount is an estimate. Once the budget of the State is adopted and the Borough receives approval for its budget, a second tax bill will be mailed with your final 2020 tax payment amount. This second bill will also contain stubs for the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2021.
