Fanwood seeks a qualified individual to serve as Municipal Clerk effective January 1, 2020, upon the retirement of the long-time incumbent who served as Administrator/Clerk. Fanwood is a stable, historic, desirable community in Union County with a municipal budget of $10 million. Candidates must possess Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) certification from the State of NJ or, in the alternative, experience with and thorough knowledge of the functions of a Municipal Clerk’s Office, with the ability to handle all functions of the office on Day 1, plus the ability and commitment to obtain the RMC as soon as possible. Candidates should have a proven record of good relations with elected officials and citizens.
Actual experience as a Municipal Clerk or Deputy Clerk is highly preferred. All customary benefits are provided; salary is DOQ.
