A Heat Advisory is issued when the combination of heat and humidity is expected to make it feel like it is 95 to 99 degrees for two or more consecutive days. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

We urge everyone to check in on seniors and other vulnerable individuals to make sure they stay cool. Take it easy during outdoor activities taking frequent breaks for shade and drink water to stay hydrated.

Anyone in need of cooling may call Fanwood Police at the non-emergency number, 908-322-5000, and they will arrange for you to go to our cooling facility at the Carriage House.
