(Fanwood, NJ)—Volunteers began accepting presents tonight for Santa Claus to deliver to Fanwood children during his cross-town trek on December 18, 2021. The Santa Parade, interrupted last year due to the pandemic but back in full force this year, is a production of the Fanwood Fire Department. Firefighters and volunteers from their families collect the presents dropped off at the firehouse by parents. The presents are then organized into a route for Santa to deliver door to door on a fire truck, accompanied by the Fanwood Rescue Squad and police officers from PBA Local 123.

Adults who’d like Santa to deliver a present to a Fanwood child age 14 or under may drop off gifts at the Fanwood firehouse Tuesday, November 30 thru Saturday, December 4 between 5pm – 9pm (Saturday hours may vary). Gifts will be accepted at the Fanwood firehouse only! LATE GIFTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! The full set of rules regarding gifts can be found at https://fanwoodfd.com.

Then on Saturday, December 18, Santa embarks on his daylong journey through town, delivering gifts to the children’s homes. Residents can listen for the sirens signaling Santa’s motorcade is approaching.
