The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for portions of northeast NJ, including Union County, beginning Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning. A slow-moving low-pressure system will bring multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms across the area. Rainfall is forecast to range from 2 to 5 inches. There is a high likelihood of seeing an inch-plus an hour for several hours.

Please remain vigilant and avoid traveling through flooded areas and do not drive around barriers. Do not drive through standing water. Keep children and pets away from fast-moving water.
