All meetings are held on the first Thursday of the above months at the Fanwood Memorial Library, 5 Forest Road Fanwood NJ at 7PM.

The Borough of Fanwood is a member of the Westfield Regional Board of Health. Questions and concerns regarding health issues should be directed to our Sanitarian.
Periodic inspections are conducted in all retail food establishments and restaurants to ensure proper food handling and cleanliness.
Westfield Regional Board of Health Social Media Outreach Launch
The Fanwood Board of Health meets with the Health Officer and Sanitarian from Westfield to discuss complaints and render decisions regarding health code violations. The Board consists of seven volunteer members who are appointed by the Mayor. Each member serves a four-year term.
These Board members appoint a Registrar of Vital Statistics. The Registrar is responsible for maintaining all of the vital records pertaining to marriages, deaths, and births of Fanwood residents.
The Board of Health conducts an annual free Rabies Clinic as well as several clinics for Blood Pressure and Diabetes screening and a Well Baby Clinic. See the Community Calendar for exact dates and time.
NOTE: The Borough has enacted an ordinance regarding requiring removal of animal feces. Read it. Rabies vaccination and licensing are required for both dogs and cats.
