Ladies Night filled downtown Fanwood with excitement and shoppers for the tenth consecutive year on Thursday, June 1st, 2023. Local merchants and vendors from around the area set up shop in and around the South Avenue plaza between Fanwood Crossing I and II.
South Avenue businesses Enchantments, Fanwood Eye Care and Monk’s Home Improvements offered food, wine and specials. Downtown restaurants offered discounts and specials along with Fanwood Pharmacy and Norman’s Hallmark. Fanwood’s homegrown caterers, Savory Selections, once again offered free pulled pork and cobbler and took part in a “Foodie Crawl” featuring free samples provided by downtown restaurants Nick’s, Fabio’s and Rocko’s.
A tricky tray auction and raffle featured prizes donated by local businesses. Comedian and impresario Marklyn “MisterDirect” Johnson was the emcee for the evening. Mayor Colleen Mahr attended along with Borough Councilwomen Kathy Mitchell, Trisha Walsh, Erin McElroy Barker and Director of Development Liz Jeffery.
Ladies Night is organized by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Borough of Fanwood.
