A significant winter storm is likely throughout the region this weekend. The latest weather forecasts have snow beginning Saturday night and continuing through Sunday evening, possibly into Monday morning. There is a potential of up to 12 inches of total accumulation for our area.
Please plan accordingly for a snowy weekend and potential impacts for commuters on Monday morning. A few notes for Fanwood residents:
- Vehicles should be parked off the street and into driveways to allow Public Works to plow roadways and parking lots.
- Residents must shovel and clear snow/ice from their sidewalks after the snowfall has ended. Vehicles must be cleared of snow as well before being driven.
- Power outages should be reported directly to PSEG by texting “OUT” to “4PSEG” (47734), by calling 1-800-436-PSEG, or through the PSEG app.
- If you need to use our Carriage House (directly next to Borough Hall) as a warming center or to charge devices in the event of a power outage, contact the Fanwood Police Department’s non-emergency number 908-322-5000.
