Thank you to the Fanwood residents who were able to attend the Revaluation Program Town Hall Meeting this past Tuesday at Forest Road Park. More than 100 people were able to hear a presentation on why Fanwood is undergoing this program and were given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a transparent dialogue with their local government and other officials involved in the project.

Recently, Union County directed multiple municipalities, including Fanwood, to undergo a revaluation program. This program will revaluate all residential and commercial properties. After new Tax Maps for the Borough are approved by the State of New Jersey, the revaluation process will begin. The last time a revaluation was conducted in Fanwood was 32 years ago.

To help best prepare residents for this news, the Borough has compiled information on the revaluation here. There, you will find a FAQ, an overview by Realty Appraisal Company (the company contracted to perform the reval), and information on property inspections.

Should you have any further questions, please contact the Borough directly.
