In light of ongoing concern regarding the lead levels in Newark’s water, we want to assure residents of Fanwood that the borough’s water is safe to consume. New Jersey American Water (AJAW) routinely tests and monitors the water quality to ensure it meets or surpasses both state and federal standards for lead levels. Below is the press release from AJAW for your reference, assuring north Jersey residents their water is safe to consume.
Fanwood takes extremely seriously the quality of our water, which is why NJAW cleaned and replaced all water mains in Fanwood within the past several years. None of our mains contain lead.
