NJ American Water has notified the Borough that due to repairs on a large water main in nearby Westfield, Fanwood residents may experience temporary changes in their water condition including discolored or cloudy water, low water pressure, or no water. This condition may start today at 1:00 PM and will last for approximately 7 hours. As a result, after the work is completed, residents are asked to run their cold water for 3- 5 minutes at the lowest level of your home to clear a discolored or brown water condition and at the highest level of your home to clear a cloudy water condition.
