On Monday, January 21, the Borough of Fanwood joined together with the Township of Scotch Plains, Social Justice Matters, Scotch Plains/Fanwood YMCA, Scotch Plains/Fanwood JCC, and the Scotch Plains/Fanwood Ministerium to participate in the MLK Day of Service. During the all-day event, residents and community leaders volunteered alongside one another and participated in various service projects around the area.

Thank you to everyone from Fanwood, Scotch Plains, and elsewhere that served with us to honor the life and lasting legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This was a tangible reminder of the power of communities coming together. The Borough of Fanwood looks forward to participating in next year’s Day of Service!
