Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr and several Union County Mayors met recently to discuss topics and issues facing towns, as well as explore opportunities to share services regionally. Topics included affordable housing and the pending legislation to legalize cannabis. Michael Darcy, Executive Director of NJ League of Municipalities, joined the mayors for the discussion.
In November, Mayor Mahr was sworn in as President of the NJ LOM, an organization representing 564 NJ municipalities. “Each of our towns benefits when local officials share ideas about common issues, services and best practices. There is a strong partnership among Union County mayors and I look forward to a productive year,” said Mayor Mahr.
