PUBLIC NOTICE
MAYOR AND COUNCIL
December 15, 2025 SPECIAL MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in compliance with the provisions of the “Open Public Meetings Act” of the State of New Jersey, N.J.S.A. 10:4 et seq., specifically N.J.S.A. 10:4-8 (d), the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Fanwood, County of Union, State of New Jersey, advises that prior to the Regular Meeting originally scheduled on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. est. there will now be a Special Meeting on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 5:30 p.m in order to accommodate an Executive Closed Session for the purposes of appointments. The Executive Closed Session will end at 7:00 p.m. in order to accommodate the Regular Council meeting as originally planned. The meeting will be conducted at the Fanwood Borough Hall, Mayor & Council Chambers (courtroom), 75 North Martine Avenue, Fanwood NJ 07023.
WHEREAS, the Open Public Meetings Act, P. L. 1975, Chapter 231 permits the exclusion of the public from a meeting in certain circumstances; and
WHEREAS, this public body is of the opinion that such circumstances presently exist; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body may discuss: Personnel, Contractual, Real Estate, Matters of Attorney/Client Privilege
WHEREAS, minutes will be kept and once the matter involving the confidentiality of the above no longer requires that confidentiality, then the minutes can be made public.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Fanwood, County of Union, State of New Jersey that the public be excluded from this meeting.

This meeting is open to the public. The Mayor and Council reserve the right to enter closed executive session, per N.J.S.A. 10:4-12. No Formal action will be taken during the executive session, but may be taken during the open portion of the meeting.
