BOROUGH OF FANWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD

NOTICE OF HEARING ON REDEVELOPMENT DESIGNATION

TAKE NOTICE THAT on September 26, 2018, at 7:30 PM, a Public Hearing will be held before the Fanwood Planning and Zoning Board in the Council Chambers at Fanwood Borough Hall, 75 North Martine Avenue, Fanwood, NJ  07023, to consider recommending to the Borough Council whether the area consisting of Block 55, Lots 7.01, 8, 9.0101, 9.0102, 10, 11, & 12; Block 57, Lots 1, meets the criteria for a non-condemnation redevelopment area in accordance with the New Jersey Local Redevelopment and Housing Law. Any person interested in or who may be affected by a determination that the delineated area is an area in need of redevelopment may appear at the hearing and participate therein in accordance with the Planning and Zoning Board’s procedural rules.

A map of the potential redevelopment area has been prepared and can be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Borough of Fanwood.

The designation of an area in need of redevelopment operates as a finding of public purpose and the determination shall not authorize the Borough to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire any property in the delineated area. The owner of any parcel of land in the redevelopment area has 45 days after the Borough Council has ratified the redevelopment designation by resolution to challenge the designation.
