(Fanwood) – A beautiful spring night resulted in hundreds of women shopping and socializing in the downtown at Thursday’s 13th annual Fanwood Ladies Night Out featuring music and shopping. The first 250 ladies who registered for the event received a free goody bag.
Ladies Night is supported by Fanwood’s vibrant downtown business district. Thursday night’s event showcased an array of new businesses that have opened in Fanwood as well as long-time established businesses. Participating businesses included Fabio’s Bistro, Enchantments, Monk’s Home Improvements Showroom, Fanwood Eye Care, Norman’s Hallmark, Mr. Tech, 1874 Coffee Company, Fleurish Medical Spa, Pura Vida Art Salon, Panini Bistro, Nick’s Pizza & Deli, Rocko’s Ice Cream, Double Jelly, and Tasty Thai.
Local merchants from around the area set up shop in around the South Avenue Plaza, behind Jessica’s Restaurant, between Fanwood Crossing I and II . The event is sponsored by the Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Borough of Fanwood.
A tricky tray auction featured prizes donated by local businesses. Mic Squared Events offered a Photo Booth and DJ Oakie E kept the music playing throughout the event that ran from 6 to 9 pm.
