The National Weather Service has issued a weather advisory for our area through late tonight. Multiple rounds of heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected. Average rainfall totals will be between 1 and 2 inches, with localized swaths of 3 to 4 inches possible. Peak rainfall rates in the strongest storms could be 2-3 inches per hour. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Please remain vigilant and avoid traveling through flooded areas and do not drive around barriers. Do not drive through standing water.
