(Fanwood, NJ) – Hundreds attended a fun and cold afternoon of holiday music, pictures with Santa and a petting zoo at the Borough’s annual Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting at the Northside Train Station on Sunday night. Families had to preregister online for pictures with Santa Clause. Hot chocolate along with cookies, bagels and pizza were served by members of the Recreation Commission. The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Chamber Choir sung seasonal carols, while Backyard Buddies Mobile Petting Zoo kept kids entertained through the afternoon. Holiday music classics was also played when the SPFHS Chamber Choir was not performing.

There were also contests to guess the number of M&M’s in a jar, the number of chocolate coins in a jar, and the number of lights on the holiday tree.
