Last week, the Borough Council approved $215, 367 for an expansion and new equipment for the children’s playground at LaGrande Park. Recreation Director Bob Budiansky brought renderings and drawings of the area to Monday’s Council meeting. The project will include:
- An expansion of the current footprint of the playground area
- All new play equipment including swings, slides, climbing structures, and other attractions for children of all ages and those with special needs
- Planting of new trees
- New mulch substrate
The work will be done by MRC Recreation of Spring Lake, NJ, and is expected to commence in the late summer or fall. The new playground replaces equipment that is 27 years old.
