As a friendly reminder to all Fanwood residents, please take note of the Borough’s snow removal guidelines in anticipation of inclement weather this weekend.
The Fanwood Department of Public Works (DPW) snow removal guidelines are as follows:
- Vehicles should be removed from streets during snowfall to help ensure streets are thoroughly plowed.
- Snow must be removed from sidewalks within 12 hours of daylight after snow has fallen.
- Residents living in a cul-de-sac or on a dead-end street should not park on the street, otherwise the DPW will be unable to plow.
- Do not shovel or blow snow into the center of the road.
- It is recommended not to shovel the last 10 feet of your driveway until the storm has finished and the DPW has plowed plowed your street from curb to curb.
- Basketball hoops, portable or stationary, are not permitted within the borough right of way, including grass area or near curb, per ordinance 259-25.C.
