In celebration of Women’s History month, this week we are recognizing the women who donate their time to the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library. Established in 1986, the organization raises money for services, special items, and programs beyond the library’s annual budget, while promoting the joy of reading and use of other media. A board leads a membership of nearly 100 individual and family members. They fund programs for children and adults, sponsor the Museum Pass program, purchase computers, projectors, and similar technology. The Friends’ biggest event is the annual book sale, which raises more than $30,000.
