Just in time for the holidays, library cardholders in Fanwood and Scotch Plains can borrow free passes to the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.

The MoMA pass admits five people for free and allows three additional visitors to enter for $5 each. The pass also gives onsite discounts and free admission to films. Current exhibits feature Bruce Nauman and Charles White.

Entrance to the BBG is also free. It includes visits to the extensive indoor pavilions of tropical and aquatic plants, orchids, and bonsai trees.

Each month the Museum News highlights current exhibits at more than 15 museums and other cultural organizations. Requests to subscribe to the news should be sent to annette.romad@gmail.com.

MuseumPass is a joint effort by the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial and the Scotch Plains Public libraries (thejointlibrary.org/museumpass/). Passes can be borrowed only at the Scotch Plains Public Library.
