Commission Members
The Recreation Commission is comprised of seven commissioners and four alternates, and oversees recreational programs and facilities for the residents of Fanwood. All members of the Commission are volunteers who are Fanwood residents. The Director manages the Recreation Department’s day-to-day operations.

Jeff Banks- Council Liason
Fanwood’s Department of Recreation is responsible for overseeing Fanwood’s parks and recreational facilities; providing after-school and summer camp programming for children; providing recreational programs for our senior community; and hosting town-wide events such as the Summer Free Movie Series, Halloween Parade & Costume Contest and the Holiday Celebration. Recreation also manages the reservation and rental of facilities that include recreation buildings and athletic fields.
