(Fanwood, NJ) — Step back in time and discover Union County’s rich heritage during Four Centuries In A Weekend! This beloved annual event returns on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th and offers a unique opportunity to explore over 30 historic sites across the county. Enjoy tours, exhibits and special events all weekend long—and it’s completely free!
The Fanwood Museum at the historic 1874 Train Station, the oldest in Union County and one of the last remaining Victorian train stations in New Jersey, will be open both days from noon to 4 p.m. On display are a collection of antique toys and Tom Plante’s collection of antique campaign buttons, timely in light of the upcoming election. Also on display are history exhibits featuring artifacts and photos from Fanwood’s past. Refreshments will be served and a special area has been set up for children.
