The 3rd annual Ruck to Remember will be held Saturday, May 24th beginning at 8 a.m. Ruck to Remember is a 6.5-mile walk through Fanwood/Scotch Plains alongside our Hometown Hero Banners. Participants have the option to wear any weight ruck or no ruck at all. Volunteer Rescue Squads will be escorting us the entire way and volunteer members of the community will have at least two stations set up as stopping points for water and snacks for the ruck making it easy to not bring anything additional with you during the walk. We will meet at the American Legion between 7-7:30 a.m. and conduct a ceremony in remembrance of why we ruck and have some speakers of the Legion talk to us about the importance of Memorial Day.
