The Hilltop Tennis Club, a tennis facility in the heart of Fanwood featuring a shaded clay court, will host a free learn-to-play clinic for aspiring and returning tennis players ages 18 and up on Saturday, September 14. The learn-to-play event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Participants will be introduced to Club members with an opportunity to learn game rules, scoring and basic racket skills. A rain date is set for Sunday, September 15.

“We are excited to share our Club with current players who want to experience tennis on a clay court as well as people new to the game who want to learn to play,” said Steve McNally, president of Hilltop Tennis Club.

Interested participants should email Patricia Lake at TEAMC2L@verizon.net by Saturday, September 7 to register for the event. Spots are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Players should bring a racket and water bottle, and wear comfortable sneakers and sports clothing. A limited number of practice rackets will be available.
