Fanwood — The Fanwood Community Foundation (FCF) has announced six local nonprofits have been awarded a total of $7,500 as part of FCF’s 2023 grant program.

Caring Contact will use the grant monies will help sustain their volunteer training and support program. The Fanwood Rescue Squad, all-volunteer organization, will use the grant to fund a new pulse CO-oximeter for a quick assessment of a patient’s status.

Jam Kancer in The Kan Foundation will utilize the funds to help families facing the hardships of a cancer diagnosis. The Tiny Tim Fund will use its grant to support children in need of medical, dental, and psychological testing and treatment, physical therapy, prescriptions, medical supplies, and equipment.

Wolves Basketball Academy will use the funds to support scholarships to families that can’t afford the program and Occupational Therapy for kids. The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will use the money to help fund their building expansion project, which includes expanding their wellness center, and a second-story viewing area on their pool deck.
